Down Syndrome Awareness and Tolerance
This book describes how Bryan Lambke, a twenty-nine year old with Down syndrome, perceives his disability. It is loaded with many pictures and easy-to-read text that explains how Bryan feels and how he thinks others see him. The introduction by Cheryl Rogers-Barnett, the daughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, is a beautiful beginning to Bryan's story. The book contains facts and language guidelines about Down syndrome and also includes the Welcome to Holland story by Emily Perl Kingsley. Bryan and his father, Tom, have become experts in doing school and group talks, clearly explaining the facts about Down syndrome and more importantly, teaching others about awareness and tolerance.
