Brenda Warneka is an award-winning writer and editor who spent over 25 years in the private practice of law in Arizona and as an executive in the computer industry. She was the project leader and co-editor and co-writer for the Arizona Press Women official Centennial Legacy Project, the award-winning "Skirting Traditions: Arizona Women Writers and Journalists 1912-2012," which involved a total of six editors and eighteen writers. She personally wrote stories about historical women in Arizona history Olgivanna Lloyd Wright, Pauline Bates Brown, and Meredith Howard Harless. This was the third anthology that Warneka has co-edited. She is available to speak about "Skirting Traditions," how it came to be, the women she wrote about in the book, and on various topics related to writing and the law, using actual law suits to demonstrate the issues involved in writing about real people and copyright law. Scheduling as far ahead of time as possible is advised as she travels extensively. She has a history degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and a JD degree from Wayne State University Law School, and is also a CPA.
